If the AHK3 breaks it is designed to fragment into small parts that can be shaken free from the working parts, so it should not block the keyway and therefore allow for a back-up key to be used. Many plastic and plastic-like covert handcuff keys are prone to having their flag (tip) of the key break off inside of the handcuff after sometimes even only one use.

To install an AHK3-rf onto a GTFO Wrist Strap: position the open slip of the AHK3 over the shock cord, stretch the shock cord and push the key onto the cord, then release your stretching tension. This key has a slip down the spine that allows it to be easily attached to the GTFO-Wrist-Strap without having to undo the knots of the bracelet.
